New Look’s design team has grown from a team of seven in-house designers as at 27 March 2004 to a team of over 30 designers as at 26 March 2011. The team’s mission is to develop unique and exclusive fashion ranges, reducing exposure to supplier-driven trends and ensuring that the New Look brand represents a differentiated customer proposition to that of our competitors.
The design team closely co-ordinates its activities with the merchandising and buying teams and remains in close contact with suppliers to seek to ensure product quality and consistency are maintained throughout the production process. During the 2009/10 financial year, over two thirds of all New Look products sold were designed in-house.
